PUBLISHING DEAL WITH CRYTIVO FOR THE WHIMS OF THE GODS

The Whims of the Gods has a new publisher and will be featured during the Steam Next Fest!

PJ Games, a studio born out of a collaboration between Platige Image and Juggler Games, has signed a global publishing agreement with Dallas, Texas-based Crytivo for their highly anticipated cooperative city-builder, The Whims of the Gods.

Under the terms of the deal, Crytivo will lead worldwide marketing, promotion, and digital distribution for the title.

Set against the backdrop of an ancient civilization teetering between divine wrath and survival, The Whims of the Gods reinvents the god game genre by combining rich city-building mechanics with a unique online cooperative experience. "The game empowers players to shape a thriving civilization, either solo or in cooperation, while facing cataclysmic challenges, from monsters’ attacks to the unpredictable demands of the gods themselves."

Crytivo is known for backing indie titles like Prehistoric Kingdom and The Crust, and is well-regarded for its robust publishing support and community-driven development strategy.

Adding to the momentum, The Whims of the Gods will be featured during the Steam Next Fest. The demo will allow players to experience the strategic depth, divine mischief, and core gameplay that represent the title, whether playing solo or teaming up in online co-op for two players.

The game has already drawn attention for its fresh take on cooperative play, dynamic event calendar, and soundtrack by acclaimed composer Patryk Scelina, which blends ancient Mesoamerican cultures and instruments with a modern cinematic flair.

The Whims of the Gods is currently in development for PC, and it can be wishlisted now on Steam.
