The incredibly dynamic platformer BZZZT will hit Nintendo Switch console on September 19th.

Czech developer KO.DLL and publisher Cinemax Games have just announced that their pixel-art platformer BZZZT, inspired by classics that determined the genre's framework, will be hitting Nintendo Switch on September 19th!

Prepare your console for an extraordinary adventure straight from the future! Play as the small but incredibly clever robot ZX8000, face a series of tricky platform challenges full of deadly traps, and save the world from the mad scientist Badbert!

Welcome to the year… 4096

In a top-secret laboratory, inventive Doctor Emily and world-renowned Professor Norbert work on a highly classified project. Through their joint research and intellect, they’ve finally brought to life a tiny robot with a big AI personality! No larger than a regular household toaster, but with some extraordinary skills, ZX8000 is ready to save the world, one platform challenge at a time!

The BZZZT world certainly needs saving from dark forces at play. The evil mad scientist, Badbert, is preparing to unleash his nefarious plans upon the unsuspecting world as soon as he finds the perfect equilibrium of darkness, malice, and madness. Bwahahaha!

So, what are you waiting for? Grab your controller and help ZX8000 navigate through his mission to thwart Badbert’s evil plans! Become the robot who saves the world!

BZZZT is a fast-paced “jump-dash-run” platformer game combining a nostalgic pixel-art look with a modern gameplay design. It was almost single-handedly made by one developer – Karel Matejka, known as KO.DLL – as a tribute to beloved classic games.

Inspired by the ‘80s tech revolution, this insanely detailed, pixel-art precision platformer will transport you back in time, where you’ll get to experience a thrilling adventure, cleverly designed levels, a whole plethora of skills to unlock, and intense boss fights!

ABOUT KO.DLL

Karel Matejka, known as KO.DLL, is an artist who started his career as an illustrator and a graphic novel artist. Soon after he got his hands on the first computers, he started making games, which earned him the status of one of the first pioneers who started the gaming industry in Czechia. His unique and multi-genre art style has brought him worldwide popularity. Although his main passions are artistic, he’s also a coder, game designer, terrific chef, and dedicated friend. Above all, he’s a hard-working game lover who dreams of making games the old way again and paying homage to all the great games from the ’80s that – like so many of us – have influenced his style and passions.
